Sunday Highlight: December 7 , 2025
Today, we’re going to South Asia in our prayer time. It’s a hard place that does not welcome missionaries. Travel can be risky. If you want to give a Bible to someone, remember that half or more of the people cannot read.
But our missionaries — we’ll call them Brooks and Julia — are there faithfully sharing the gospel. Our church is proud to be supporting them with our Cooperative Program giving.
For eight years, Brooks and Julia have been overcoming many of the barriers to sharing the gospel. They use tiny micro-SD memory cards — the size of your thumbnail — which many people can play on their mobile phones.
Each card has audio files in local languages: 90 Bible lessons, each eight to 12 minutes long. The lessons cover Genesis to Revelation. Often,a local believer will gather family, friends, and neighbors to hear the teaching.
Thousands of tribal people have come to faith in Christ as they heard the gospel for the first time. They are joyful indeed when they follow Christ and no longer fear that unseen spirits are going to harm them.
Let’s pray for Brooks and Julia and pray many more will find Jesus.
