CHURCH PLANTING

Please pray for God to help our Hawaii Pacific Baptist churches start new churches in Hawaii, the Pacific, and Asia.

We partner with SEND Network. We work with Shane Critser, Send Network’s Director of the Coastal West Region.

Churches starting this year:

The Coppenbargers (Pearl Harbor/Hickam, Oahu)

Craig and Maggie Coppenbarger

Craig and Maggie Coppenbarger have been called to Hawaii to start Valor Church. They bring two decades of military and ministry experience to their work.

They have planted two successful churches and have a strong track record of training and sending out numerous others into ministry. Their background uniquely positions them to understand and address the challenges that military life brings to families.

They are focusing on the Pearl Harbor/Hickam area of Oahu.

The Sete’s (Oahu)

Nasa and Caroline Sete

Nasa and Coroline Sete have the vision to plant a church to reach Polynesians for Christ on Oahu. Gospel City Church in Indiana is their sending church, and GracePoint Church in Mililani is their local church partnering church.

The Brennan’s (Keau, Hawaii Island)

Mike and Monica Brennan

Mike and Monica Brennan are currently serving in Wyoming and are experienced in church planting. Lord willing, they will move to Keau, Hawaii, and begin work this year.

Mike and Monica are focused on church planting in conjunction with their work to prevent human trafficking.

Our current church plants:

The Whitehead’s (Kapolei, Oahu)

David and Nancy Whitehead

Connections Church, Kapolei, Oahu. David and Nancy Whitehead.

The Thomas’s (Yokosuka, Japan)

Chris and Sai Thomas

Cross Church, Yokosuka, Japan. Chris and Sai Thomas. This church plant is near a military base in Yokosuka. Yokohama International Baptist Church (Pastor Ben Howard) is their sending church.

The Hennagan’s (Guam)

Mel and Rachel Hennegan

Gospel Life Church, Guam. Mel and Rachel Hennagan.

The Naylor’s (Lahaina, Maui)

Erik and Dani Naylor

Lahaina Baptist, Maui. Replant. Erik & Dani Naylor.

The Tafao’s (Pearl City, Oahu)

Elise and Lucy Tafao

Manuia Bible Fellowship, Oahu. Samoan Congregation. Elise & Lucy Tafao.
