Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention has 4 Convention Committees designed to help make Convention matters run smoothly:

  1. Committee on Committees & Board Nominations
  2. Committee on Convention Arrangements and Order of Business
  3. Committee on Credentials
  4. Resolutions and Historical Committee.

Committee Members are elected annually by the Convention, except for the Committee on Committees and Board Nominations, whose members are appointed annually by the President, First Vice President, and Second Vice President.

Anyone who wishes to serve on any committees or the Executive Board may contact their pastor or the convention office.

Committee on Committees and Board Nominations

Consists of ministers, laymen and laywomen, nominate members who are elected by messengers at the Annual Convention in November.

Committee on Convention Arrangements and Order of Business

This committee is responsible for selecting time, place, program and preacher for the Annual Convention. The committee also provides parliamentarians for each session.

Committee on Credentials & Resolutions

This committee certifies messengers to the Annual Convention and helps with registration of messengers and visitors.

The Historical Committee

Formulates a scholarly and comprehensive program for systematically preserving materials of historical value.
