Pu’u Kahea Conference Center (PKCC) was established in 1949 when the Hawaii Baptist Convention (now known as Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention) purchased property in Waianae that was part of a former sugar plantation. They wanted to provide a camp facility for the churches within the convention. Today we still carry on that same purpose, providing a facility for camps and retreats for both HPBC and Non-HPBC groups. How do I make a reservation? Please email office@pkcc.org with preferred dates, organization affiliation, purpose of stay, estimated number of guests, buildings/facilities that you are wanting to rent.
Why are there two different prices? HPBC is a collective of cooperating SBC churches in Hawaii and around the Pacific that share ownership of PKCC. Because of this, HPBC churches and affiliated organizations receive a discounted rate for their stay.
How can I volunteer or have a work day? With such a big property there are always projects to do and we would love the help! If interested in volunteering or having a work day with us please email office@pkcc.org. If interested in long-term volunteering please let us know and we can let you know what can be done.
Does Pu’u Kahea provide food services?
During the 2025 season we will not be having food services. Each group is required to cater or provide their own food for their stay. The kitchen in the Plantation Hale will be available for an additional fee which includes ice machine, cookware/utensils, storing, warming, and serving meals (all meals must be fully cooked previously due to licensing and permitting regulations). If renting Komohana or Peterson, groups are able to cook in them. There will be some cooking tools and cookware in those kitchens. If renting the entire facility, the Plantation Hale and Komohana kitchen fee is included. *Peterson kitchen is available to use at an additional cost*
