Dr. Miller became Director of Regional Ministries in January 2019. In this role he serves church leaders, churches, and associations across the Hawaiian Islands.
He was born and raised in Honolulu and came to know Christ as His Savior at the age of 19. His first ministry was with Kohala Baptist Church on the Big Island as church planter/pastor. He later served as State Director of Evangelism & Church Planting with the Hawai’i Pacific Baptist Convention (HPBC). In 2002 he returned to the pastorate with Wai’alae Baptist Church and served this congregation for 12 years. Then in 2014 Robert served as Facilitator of Oahu Baptist Network (OBN).
Robert has also served as OBN Moderator and HPBC President. He graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa (B.A) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. and D.Min.) in Fort Worth, Texas.
He is married to Beverly. Together they have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Robert enjoys golf and home improvement.
